Jimmy came with this time - which was awesome. Colby was being a bit of a stinker, keeping his hand / arm in front of his face, which is on his head (yah, duh, I know), which is shoved WAY down low so it was quite a task (and not very comfy) trying to get profile shots, etc. But our ultrasound tech was fun, and pretty decent, and she got some.
I'll post the pictures in a moment..... but here are his current stats:
Approximate weight (can be off by a pound in either direction..... but....): 7lbs, 4oz (80th percentile)
Average of measurements: measuring 37 weeks, 5 days (at 36 weeks, 5 days - exactly 1 week ahead)
Head size: 37 weeks, 5 days - 47th percentile
Abdomen: 37 weeks, 5 days - 86th percentile
Femur: 38 weeks, 3 days - 85th percentile
So thank goodness either last time they took wacky measurements, or he had just had a massive growth spurt...... because he's gained almost 3lbs in the last 6 weeks, but his head hasn't stayed measuring 4+ weeks ahead.
And.... he's very proportional which is awesome with the fact I have gestational diabetes. If a baby is seeing adverse effects from mom's blood sugars, they often have a large abdomen compared to the other measurements.... but Colby's pretty even!!!
She also measured my fluids - and my fluid level was 13.57 - which is average for 36 weeks, 5 days. Woo-hoo!
We got to see Colby swallowing some fluid, which was cool!
And now.... some pictures!!!
This one is kinda cool - it shows the umbilical cord (the thing that looks like bubbles)
His nose and lips - nose is the thing you see sticking out on the right - lips are to the left of that.
Another shot of his nose / lips (middle of the picture - floating around - same position as the above photo), with his arm / hand up by his face!
The ultrasound tech tried to get a profile shot - but like I said, he had his head all squashed down low, and his arm in front of his face.... so it was a bit of a challenge!
Acting a little shy.... or just being a turd! (his hand is in front of his eyes) - but you still get to see his cute lips and cheeks!!!
Peace, dude! :-)
A little smirk.... I think 'cause he knows he's being a little turd!
And finally.... a cute Colby foot! :-)
Colby better get used to photo shoots - he will be subjected to many of them in the future! :-)
Glad you both are doing well!! Great shots!
ReplyDeletesuch cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that he's measuring pretty proportional. I'm hoping Nathaniel's head growth slowed down too, b/c it was pretty big 2 weeks ago. Not counting on it though since big heads run on hubby's side of the family. love the pictures!
